A well-paced 6-day Kerala journey—start with Cochin’s city highlights, then Munnar’s misty hills, Thekkady’s forests and spices, and a serene overnight houseboat in Alleppey.
On arrival at Cochin/Ernakulam, our representative receives you at the Airport/Railway Station. Transfer to the hotel, check in, and proceed for Cochin sightseeing for the rest of the day. Overnight stay in Cochin.
After breakfast, proceed to Munnar. Check into the hotel and spend the day with local sightseeing. At 1600 m above sea level and set at the confluence of Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar offers cool climes and tea-clad slopes. Overnight in Munnar.
After breakfast, continue local sightseeing: Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo Point. In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam) to spot the rare Nilgiri Tahr (subject to park timings). Overnight in Munnar.
After breakfast, drive to Thekkady and check in. Explore Thekkady—home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (777 sq. km; 360 sq. km evergreen forest), a Tiger Reserve since 1978. Optional activities at extra cost: Periyar Lake boating, spice plantation visit, and elephant ride. Overnight in Thekkady.
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey. Board your traditionally decorated houseboat by 1:00 PM as the cruise begins with lunch. Glide past paddy fields, village life, rustic homes, ancient churches/temples and coconut groves. Meals are served onboard. Overnight on the houseboat.
After breakfast, check out from the Houseboat/Hotel and drive to Cochin Airport/Railway Station for your flight/train back home—carrying memories of God’s Own Country.
