Follow this 5-day plan from Cochin to Munnar’s tea gardens, onward to Thekkady’s forests and spice estates, and finally the serene Alleppey backwaters. Timings are indicative and may vary.
Our representative will receive you at Cochin Airport/Railway Station and transfer you to Munnar, Kerala’s famed tea garden hill station. Check in to your resort. Later, visit the Tea Museum to learn how tea is processed from leaf to cup. Spend the remainder of the day soaking in the hills and cool climate. Overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast, proceed to Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (park entry as applicable). Later, visit Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point. Return to your hotel after an exciting day. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Thekkady. Check into the resort and relax. Later, take a guided spice plantation tour to explore a wide variety of Kerala spices (shopping optional). Enjoy a boat cruise on Periyar Lake to spot elephants and birdlife; sunrise/sunset cruises are particularly recommended (subject to availability). Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Alleppey and board your houseboat by 12:00 noon. Relax as you cruise the canals and lakes. At ~13:30, the boat halts for lunch on board; around 14:30, cruising resumes across the vast backwaters. Enjoy tea and snacks onboard. By ~18:00, the houseboat drops anchor for an unforgettable night in the backwaters. Overnight onboard.
After breakfast at 8:00 AM, the houseboat resumes cruising and drops you at Alleppey Jetty by ~9:00 AM. Timely transfer to Cochin Airport/ Railway Station for your onward journey.
