Follow this 5-day plan covering Cochin’s heritage, Munnar’s rolling tea hills, and Alleppey’s tranquil backwaters. Sightseeing options are provided for information; availability and timings may vary.
Pick up from Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in and around Cochin – the Queen of Arabian Sea. Visit Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight stay in Cochin.
After breakfast check out and drive to Munnar (approx. 4 hours). En route, enjoy waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. Check into the hotel on arrival. Visit Tea Museum (entry fee Rs.125 per adult, open till 5 pm) and Floriculture Centre (Rose Garden – entry fee Rs.30, open 10 am to 5 pm). Overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing. Visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo Point. Afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam) to see the rare Nilgiri Tahr. Overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey (about 172 km, approx. 5 hours). On arrival, board a houseboat for an overnight backwater cruise. Check-in at 1:00 pm and cruise starts with lunch. Enjoy Chinese fishing nets, paddy fields, coir making, rustic homes, temples and coconut groves. Meals served onboard. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat/hotel and drive to Cochin Airport or Ernakulam railway station for your return journey.
